Thursday evening, Jan-Eric Peters, editor-in-chief of Die Welt, joined imim students and faculty during their Berlin attendance block for a background talk. “We still are at the beginning of the digital revolution”, Peters said.
His publications’ editorial and production team (online, print daily and weekly) just moved into a new integrated newsroom at Axel Springer’s location in Berlin’s city center, that imim students had visited the day before. Also, a next step of integration is soon to be taken: Springer just bought N24, a news TV station.
Peters recommended the media innovation management students to represent change themselves by becoming early adopters of promising trends and technologies: “Try to live what you say. Try to live the change.”
